When do you gift this pack?

Packs are usually given out to babies at around 7 to 9 months by their health visitor.

If babies haven’t been gifted a pack at that health check they may receive one at their local library. Ideally parents should bring their health record book along with them.

Remember to put a library application form in the pack, but note that parents and their babies do not have to join the library to receive their Bookstart pack for babies.
